Our website www.twlegal.net.au does not collect any personal information except the information provided by you on our Contact page.
How We Secure Personal And Confidential Information
We do not store your personal information on our website. Any personal information that you provide via the website is stored on our secure computer network and is used only for the purposes for which it was provided.
New enquiries
In order that we may appropriately address your enquiry, we will collect personal and confidential information in order to determine if we are able to provide the assistance you require. People making enquiries are however under no obligation to provide personal or confidential information.
Third parties
Terese Wacyk Legal may disclose personal and confidential information to employees and agents of Terese Wacyk Legal, corporations, entities or individuals who assist in the provision of our services (including, but not limited to counsel, Courts, Tribunals, IT providers, Cloud servers, security providers, data storage providers, debt collectors and business analysts).
It should be noted that there may be times when an Order of the Court may compel Terese Wacyk Legal to release personal or confidential information. This however is a rarity.
Closed Files
Upon the finalisation of your matter we will maintain an electronic archive of the documents in our possession for not less than 7 years. We may however destroy any paper files on completion of your instructions. We encourage you to collect any significant documents or items which you have provided to us. We reserve the right to charge a reasonable cost for the provision of any requested information whether by hard or electronic copy. The cost of such will be provided to you upon receipt of the formal request and prior to the collection of the requested information, documents or material.
Copyright
We retain copyright in all documents prepared by us during the conduct of your matter.
If literary or other works are created by us for or under the direction or control of the Commonwealth or a State, all copyright vests in us, despite sections 176 and 177 of the Copyright Act 1968 (Cth).
Protection of your Privacy
We will not, without your consent, use any personal information that we obtain from you in relation to your matter for any purpose other than the conduct of your matter. We agree to be bound by all of the National Privacy Principles contained with the Privacy Amendment (Private Sector) Act 2000 (Cth). We agree to be bound to the full extent of the applicable law and its exceptions contained within the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
Variation Of Policy
We reserve the right to vary the contents of this policy from time to time should there be a need to do so.
