Terese Wacyk
Principal
Schooling: Loreto Convent, Marryatville, South Australia
Tertiary: University of Adelaide: 1966 — 1974 Bachelor of Laws & Bachelor of Arts
Terese has spent her entire life in South Australia practising the law over many broad areas and providing advice on:—
• Family Law;
• Wills and Estates;
• Probate;
• Contracts;
• Leases;
• Employment Law;
• Personal Injury; and
• Commercial & business litigation and resolution of disputes.
She has variously worked in premier law firms, private enterprises, including the Australian Stock Exchange, government agencies, both State and Federal and both in legal and quasi-legal capacities. Over the years, Terese has learned to deliver quality and considered work in many areas of the law leading to favourable outcomes for her clients and likewise employers. Terese considers that the ability to properly communicate with the client is imperative. This, of course, is predicated on an ability to genuinely empathise and always care for the client and their predicament. Throughout the years, Terese has always maintained this same ability.
As a female solicitor now in her fifth decade of practice, Terese has seen many social changes in law, including the now considerable number of women admitted to practice. In addition, Terese has always made herself available to assist young members of the profession in their start-up, hopeful that she will leave some legacy and may instil some insight into the practice and practicalities of the law.
In more recent times, after practising in a firm for some 11 years, Terese made the decision three years ago to start her own practice employing younger members of the profession. With the energy and focus of the latter we have created an ideal dynamic in the firm, a perfect team, which we trust will provide the service you deserve.
